πŸ’œ Relay for Life 2026 – Hillcrest Makes a Difference

On Saturday 29 March, our Hillcrest High School community came together to take part in the Hamilton Relay for Life at Claudelands — a powerful event supporting the Cancer Society.

Relay for Life is more than just a fundraiser. It’s a day of remembrance, celebration, and action, where teams walk or run continuously around a track to show support for those affected by cancer. In the lead-up to the event, our team worked hard to gather donations and sponsorship — and we are incredibly proud to share that we raised an outstanding $3,090.

We had a fantastic turnout on the day, with students, staff, and whānau all stepping up to represent Hillcrest. From early morning fog to a warm, sunny afternoon, the energy and commitment never wavered. Participants challenged themselves in different ways — some completing multiple laps of the 450m track, while others pushed themselves to distances equivalent to a marathon.

What stood out most was the sense of unity and purpose. Whether walking, running, supporting from the sidelines, or contributing through donations, every effort made a meaningful difference.

We are incredibly proud of our Hillcrest whānau for getting behind such an important cause. Together, we are helping to create real impact in the lives of others.

We look forward to seeing even more of our community involved in 2027 πŸ’œ
