Curriculum

The Hillcrest High School curriculum allows for a broad based curriculum at Years 9 to 11 and enables specialization at senior levels. It allows students to study subjects at different levels. It is flexible so that it caters as much as possible to student needs and the timetable will be organised to maximise students' subject choices. The curriculum also allows for transition, careers advice and work exploration. Our focus is on what engages young people in education.

Junior (Years 9 & 10)
The junior curriculum (Years 9 & 10) is broad based, and structured around compulsory subjects in English, Social Studies, Science, Mathematics, Health & Physical Education and a range of options within the Technology, Arts and Learning Languages learning areas. This nurtures a diversity of learning for all students. Priority is given to student achievement in literacy and numeracy.
